The fall and spring retreats that follow the summer program allow the participants to gather in fellowship and in prayer to continue their engagement with the themes and ideas from the summer. With the support of the Peacebuilders community, they discuss the development of their peace projects and reflect on their journey as peacebuilders.
Fall RetreatTypically hosted at the Techny Towers Conference and Retreat Center in Techny, IL, the theme of this retreat is “Peacebuilding as a Way of Life.” Throughout the weekend, participants will reconnect with each other and their mentors to reflect on the ways they have been and can continue to exercise their passion for peace and reconciliation. Special attention is also given to talking about how they plan to do this through the Peace Project. |
Spring RetreatOur closing gathering for the Peacebuilders program year is a daylong retreat and celebration at Catholic Theological Union, where participants reflect on their experience of and growth from the program. Participants will be inspired to chart a direction for the future that best utilizes their talents and passions to continue promoting peace, justice, and reconciliation in our world. The day concludes with Eucharist and a reception to which the families, friends, and partner contacts of the Peacebuilders are warmly invited. |
