Peacebuilders Resource Manual

Included in the manual are updated sociological data regarding youth, articles, and church documents which address issues relating to youth and young adults, specific strategies for facilitating the Peacebuilding Project, recommended methods for theological reflection, bibliographies relating to youth and social justice, suggested websites focusing on youth ministry, etc.

Peacebuilders Retreat

One of the greatest gifts adults can offer youth is a personal example of how to live as builders of peace and agents of reconciliation. The program partners, along with parents of seminar participants, are invited to participate in a weekend retreat modeled after the Initiative's summer seminar. Furthermore, this retreat encounter provides a "shared experience" between the partners, parents, and seminar participants, serving to enhance their working relationship and enrich their companionship.

Skills Development Workshops

Partner institutions are invited to a series of professional skills training workshops offered at CTU each year. Skills training and development in theological reflection, conflict resolution and transformation, experiential learning curriculum, vocational counseling, active listening, leadership building, and recruitment are areas of focus offered.

Peacebuilders Conferences
Through the Office of Continuing Education, CTU offers daylong conferences for high school educators and youth ministers affiliated with the Peacebuilders Initiative. The purpose of these conferences is to:

• Deepen understanding of the aspirations of youth and issues of faith formation for high school youth.
• Enhance participant's knowledge of theological disciplines such as scripture, Catholic social teaching, ecclesiology, and sacramental theology.
