May: Celebrate as a Peacebuilder

We are all called to be Peacebuilders. But it's not an easy vocation. A Peacebuilder makes a life-long commitment to peace, justice, and improving the world around us.

Read the papers or watch the nightly news, however, and you could start questioning if it's worth it. War. Famine. Human rights violations. Poverty. Illness. Discrimination. They all dominate the headlines every day, whereas "peace" hardly ever gets attention.

This month, fight back. Celebrate peace! Throw a party, host a peace liturgy, envision a future of peace on earth. Go ahead- be an optimist in a world of pessimists. Shine some light in a world of doom and gloom.
